Castle Hill Rebellion is the thirty-ninth book in the My Australian Story series. The book is Chrissie Michaels' third for the series. It was published in May 2019 by Scholastic Australia. The book was followed by Alan Sunderland's Six Seconds in 2021.

Chrissie Michaels is an Australian children's author. She was born in England and moved to Melbourne, Australia with her family at age six. Michaels wrote On Board the Boussole for My Australian Story under the pen name, Christine Edwards. While researching her second book, Convict Girl, for the series, she read references about the "politicised Irish convict presence in the colony." She then began reading more about the Castle Hill rebellion which became the foundation for her third My Australian Story book.[2]
