Sufiya Ahmed is a British-Indian children's author. Much of her work draws inspiration from her heritage. Noor-un-Nissa Inayat Khan was her first book for My Story. She later penned Princess Sophia Duleep Singh for the series. In an interview, Ahmed stated that she has always been fascinated with Noor and felt that it was important to write about her for a children's audience.[2]
