Pamela Margarett Oldfield (1 October 1931 — 20 October 2011) was an English author who penned over one hundred books for children and young adults. She authored The Great Plague, Victorian Workhouse, and Factory Girl for the My Story.

Death[]

Oldfield passed away on 20 October 2011. She was survived by her partner of thirty-four years, Joseph Portsmouth, and her son and daughter whom she had with her first husband.[1]
