The Teenage Diary of..., originally published as A Princess's Diary, is an English language Indian series of fictional diaries. The series was first released by Scholastic India and was followed by a spin-off titled Dear India. A Princess's Diary is similar to The Royal Diaries, which also published a book about Jahanara.[1] The other two princesses featured in the series are Sanghamitra, daughter of Indian emperor Ashoka,[2] and Jodh Bai, Rajput wife of Mughal emperor Akbar.[3]
In early 2019, the series was relaunched under a new title, The Teenage Diary of. The books are released by Talking Cub, an imprint of Speaking Tiger.[4]Jahanara and Jodh Bai were republished, along with a new diary based on Nur Jahan.[5] In March 2020, two books about Rani of Jhansi and Razia Sultana were released.[6]
